EU monitoring and evaluation mission passes DevFish2 with five A’s

logo_devfishAn independent monitoring and evaluation mission was commissioned by EU undertook a review of the EU funded DevFish2 project in November 2012.

The monitoring and evaluation mission graded the DevFish2 project with five straight A’s across the five criteria of scoring.

EU funded projects are usually subject to external results oriented monitoring (ROM) during the duration of project term. The ROM mission for the DevFish2 project assessed and evaluated the project’s performance in its services and support delivery to target beneficiary stakeholders and also project administration and coordination.

This also included assessing the state of execution of project budget. These assessments were against the five standard parameters of relevance/quality of design, efficiency, effectiveness, impact prospects, and potential sustainability.

The monitor met with project staff, management of SPC and FFA and as many member countries’ stakeholders involved in the project as possible. The reviewer also visited and examined a sample of specific activities and beneficiaries.

The project Team Leader, Hugh Walton noted;  “We are very happy with the straight A report card! And thanks to all support from within FFA and SPC in delivering the project programs and achieving this citation. We will now have to aim to heighten our efforts to maintaining this scoring level”.
