Celine Muron is an Information and Outreach Officer for coastal fisheries management under both the Pacific-European Union Marine Partnership (PEUMP) programme and MFAT coastal fisheries governance project. She holds a Master's Degree in Life sciences from AgroParisTech, and specializes into managing projects combining science with information.
Before joining the SPC Fisheries Information Section, she worked for five years in Paris as a Communication Manager. She left France to work in New Caledonia at the Environmental Observatory (OEIL) where she was head of the Information Section for five years. She then worked at the University of New Caledonia for two years, where she was in charge of the research teams’ websites as well as corporate publications.
As an Information and Outreach Officer for SPC, Celine’s main task is to produce information and outreach materials using a range of media options including print, video, audio and social media for coastal fisheries management, with a focus on community based approaches, and the dissemination of these materials widely in the region. |
